632 MPH Acceleration And 83G Deceleration Rocket Sled Set 2 World Records!

Hope you are ready for a real blast from the past, because this video is a genuine historic gem.

This video documents John Paul Stapp’s acceleration on a rocket sled from a dead stop to 632 miles per hour to give him the titles of the fastest man on earth way back in 1954 and also documents Eli Beeding acceleration to 35 miles per hour before being STOPPED in a distance of one foot in less than 1/10th of a second to earn him the title of surviving the highest G force of all time when he peaked at 82.6 Gs way back in 1958.

Stapp and Beeding were two brave men who achieved greatness. I love this clip from Pioneers of the Vertical Frontier produced by the United States Air Ford in the late 1960s.
