Front-wheel-drive vehicles have the ability to go fast in the straight line, but there is only so much power you can add before the vehicle becomes undriveable on the street.

Luckily, in runway racing, the vehicles don’t need to turn. They just need to accelerate really, really fast. And just like this Acura Integra—which just became the world’s first front-drive vehicle to break 200 mph in the standing half-mile.

Myles Kerr, this owner and driver of the Integra, has been after the 200-mph mark for at least two years.
