When you poke your way around the car community and find different combinations of engine swaps with various chassis combinations, you’ll notice that there’s a little bit of something for everyone as all sorts of different engines find their way into some of the most obscure vehicles that you could think of.
When this all happens, you know that there are going to be different sections of people with one of those being the individuals that just so happen to get all in their feelings about these kinds of swaps, talking about how a platform shouldn’t be mixed up with another and how you should keep loyal to the brand, even when it comes something to something like an old Ford Mustang or Ranger.
With that in mind, we get a feeling that for the enthusiasts that have this line of thinking, they might just find something to bite off here that is going to be sour as we come across yet another unique combination as someone decided to take a Cummins diesel engine and shove it under the hood of a Ford Ranger. It’s unlike very much of what we have seen before as we’ve definitely seen some Cummins swaps but personally, I can’t say that I’ve ever come across one like this and I have to admit that the cross-platform mashup is definitely one that’s an attention grabber.
If you follow along down in the video below, you’ll be able to get a look and listen to exactly what a Ranger is like when you stuff an engine in it that’s typically found in a Ram truck and sometimes other machines that you’ll see on the street. However, it seems as if the diesel power plant has found its way to a home that It fits right into nicely. After seeing this mix and match concoction for yourself, be sure and tell us what you think of this very different set of wheels.
