Tractor Trailer Crash Closes Northbound US-52 During Morning Rush Hour

A tractor trailer crashed early Monday morning, closing the northbound lanes of US 52 for several hours.

It happened in Stokes County, North Carolina near King-Tobaccoville Road, before 6 a.m.

According to Fox 8, the tractor trailer was traveling northbound when it lost control and overturned, ending up on its side.

The semi truck was hauling large rolls of paper. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

All northbound lanes were shut down directly following the crash. One lane was reopened by 10 a.m., but the remaining lanes stayed closed until after 11 a.m.

Normal traffic had resumed by noon.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
